Memories are the molecules of eternity

For our neighbors, Rachel and Becca Uibel's birthdays, their mom Jill planned a surprise river rafting trip. Sierra and Savannah were really excited. Savannah was also a little nervous but agreed to try if Mom went, too. We waited quietly downstairs with Kelsey and Kenna Rasband, Emily Cook, and Kiersten and Sammy Shelley. After yelling surprise, the girls opened their gifts and we headed to the river. Jill had pizza for everyone and each girl got to pick their own intertube. Jill, the girl's Grandma, Savannah and I were in a raft and John Uibel and his father were in a kayak. The river was pretty slow and the ride was beautiful. We had a little struggle with our raft and had to duck under trees a few times. One tree branch was unavoidable and Jill ended up in the water. A few of the girls ran into things (like a fisherman) and Sierra hit her knee on a rock and caught a fish in her shoe. We didn't get any pictures because I was afraid of getting the camera wet, but I took a bunch when we got back for cake and ice cream. The girls were exhausted to say the least and dried off in the front yard while they waited to eat. After everything, they all said they had a great time and would go again - just not today!
